The Living Kitchen

Nigella Lawson cooks up tasty dishes, writes bestselling cookbooks, has enviable flowy hair…and now the English self-described “domestic goddess” has conquered the world of kitchen products. Did you know that Nigella Lawson makes kitchen products? and did I mention how much I loooooove kitchen products? With the holiday season drawing ever closer, these funky gadgets are a great idea to keep in mind as potential gifts for all the fellow foodies in your life.

Her line, The Living Kitchen, is a joint design effort with Sebastian Conran, and has been around since 2003, but I am absolutely OBSESSED with her latest collection. I just love the soft curved shapes and matt stoneware texture..oh so chic! Her range of “kitchen kits,” as she describes them, includes a series of classic stoneware everyday essentials (featuring cappuccino cups, teapots and mixing bowls among many other things), melamine utensils (including colanders, measuring cups and citrus juicers), as well as a range of heat-proof flameware. All the items are elegant as well as functional, and she adds clever and practical twists and touches to common utensils to put them a notch above your everyday standard products.

The different types of products come in a range of different colors, including festive red, chic black, dreamy sky blue, pink and cream, as well as beech wood, but my favorite by far is the sky blue in matt.

Here are some of my favorites:

How chic are these measuring jugs?!

The clever design of these espresso and cappuccino cups and saucers leaves plenty of room on the side for your little nibbles

Beech chopping board with a clever little tray to collect your chopped food and make transferring it easier and less messy

Super elegant and unusual salad server "hands"

Easy-pour storage jar is pretty as well as practical

Why not put your pretty cakes on a pedestal?!

Cute measuring cups that double as normal cups

Multi-sized salad and vegetable bowls

Artsy wooden parmesan grater

You can find all these pretty things and more  here on Nigella’s website

In good health,

F
